Manufacturing of a ring of an optical part of a technical endoscope

High-precision machining of brass rods using CNC machine tools. Very small component with accuracy of tolerances up to hundredths of a millimeter.

Requirements:

The rings must be made with a high degree of repeatability in relation to each other and with strict compliance with the dimensions of the control drawing. Any deviation will entail deterioration of the optical characteristics of the final product and occurrence of defects in it.

Difficulties:

The rings are very small, but have high tolerances and many machined surfaces. Defects can be identified only during costly final assembly of the endoscope and carrying out of optical tests.
